Playing scary games is best done with friends, and with the newest addition to the Dark Pictures Anthology series of games, The Devil in Me, playing together is possible. However, while this game is releasing on November 18, 2022, many players must wonder, “Is Devil in Me cross platform or Crossplay?“
Since the game is releasing on PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PCs, it certainly would be worth exploring, but is it possible? Here is everything players need to know about crossplay in The Devil in Me.
Is there Cross Platform or Crossplay for The Devil in Me?
At the time of this article, crossplay support has not been confirmed for The Devil in Me. According to developer Supermassive, the game will feature online co-op modes for up to two players and a five-player “pass the pad” version for couch co-op sessions.
We have reached out to Supermassive to get an official comment on whether they will be adding crossplay to the game, but for now, it is safe to assume that it will not be coming. If it is like any previous entries in the Dark Pictures Anthology, the finale to Season One will also not include this feature.
Should this information change, this story will be updated. However, in the meantime, players will still be able to experience the horror of the Murder Hotel with friends on the same platform–whether on the couch or via online play.
