The HBO premiere of The Last of Us kicked off on January 15, 2023. Based on the 2013 video game from Naughty Dog, a California-based games studio, the post-apocalyptic drama television series debut was HBO’s second largest after House of the Dragon.
The first episode, “When You’re Lost in the Darkness,” showcased the start of the fungal outbreak that went on to ravage the world. Twenty years later, in a Boston quarantine zone, it’s up to Joel and Tess to go on a mission and change everything.
The Last of Us Episode 2 Release Date
The Last of Us Season 1 Episode 2 premieres on Sunday, January 22, 2023, at 9 p.m. ET on HBO and HBO Max. Viewers can stream the next episode, and all previous episodes, online with an HBO Max subscription.
The second episode in the first season of The Last of Us is titled “Infected” and has a 55-minute runtime. Episode 1 aired for approximately 1 hour and 21 minutes.
