The Psychic Spectacular event is returning to Pokemon GO this September, and it’s less than a week away! We have everything you need to know, including a new Mega Raid debut Pokemon, a list of wild encounters, raids, and some information about Deoxys Raid Day.
When Does Pokemon GO Psychic Spectacular Start?
The Psychic Spectacular event begins on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, at 10 a.m. local time and ends on Monday, September 12, 2022, at 8 p.m. local time.
Pokemon GO Psychic Spectacular Pokemon
During the Pokemon GO Psychic Spectacular event, the following Pokemon will appear more often in the wild:
- Abra (Shiny)
- Drowzee (Shiny)
- Elgyem (Shiny)
- Gothita
- Munna (Shiny)
- Natu (Shiny)
- Ralts (Shiny)
- Slowpoke (Shiny)
- Solosis
- Spoink (Shiny)
- Woobat (Shiny)
Lucky trainers may also encounter Kadabra and Kirlia.
Psychic Spectacular Raids
The following Pokemon will be appearing in raids during the event:
- One-star raids: Unown E, Unown P, Unown S, Espurr (Shiny)
- Three-star raids: Alolan Raichu (Shiny), Wobbuffet (Shiny), Girafarig (Shiny), Oranguru
- Five-star raids: Normal Forme Deoxys (Shiny), Attack Forme Deoxys (Shiny), Defense Forme Deoxys (Shiny), Speed Forme Deoxys (Shiny)
- Mega raids: Mega Alakazam (Shiny)
Mega Alakazam makes its debut in Mega Raids, and the Mythical Deoxys will also be appearing in five-star raids!
To celebrate the event, we have the Deoxys Raid Day, which takes place on Sunday, September 11, 2022, from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. local time. The special Raid Day celebrates the Mythical Deoxys, who will appear in five-star raids in all forms.
- All forms of Deoxys appearing more frequently in raids
- Earn up to five additional daily Raid Passes by spinning Gyms
- An increased chance of encountering Shiny Deoxys
Alakazam Featured Attack
Since the event is all about Psychic-type Pokemon, Alakazam is the focus. Trainers who evolve Kadabra (from Abra) or catch Alakazam in raids during the event get an Alakazam that knows the Charged Attack Psychic.
- Trainer Battles: 90 power and a chance to lower the opposing Pokemon’s Defense
- Gyms and raids: 90 power
Psychic Spectacular Eggs
The following Pokemon will hatch from 7km Eggs during the event:
- Smoochum (Shiny)
- Wynaut (Shiny)
- Chingling
Psychic Spectacular Field Research
While we don’t yet have the list of research tasks, the Pokemon encounters from the tasks will include:
- Baltoy (Shiny)
- Chimecho (Shiny)
- Elgyem (Shiny)
Lucky trainers may also hatch a Hypno! We also have a hint that Timed Research will focus on Curveball Throws, so get to practicing!
