Lifting the veil on game development is a great way for game fans to connect better with their favorite video game titles. Developers of Psychonauts 2, Double Fine Productions, is releasing a brand-new documentary that will reveal some of the backend details and struggles that are involved with creating a game. This comes via a Twitter post from gaming journalist Jason Schreier.
This isn’t the first time that Double Fine has produced something like this. Their first documentary, Double Fine Adventure!, is viewable in all 21 parts on YouTube.
For those that have never had the chance to play it, Psychonauts 2 is a 3D platform-adventure game where players assume the role of the game’s protagonist, Razputin “Raz” Aquato, a trained acrobat and psychic. The game was highly-rated and critically acclaimed for its story, cinematic style, and fun gameplay.
What’s in store for the new documentary is yet to be seen, but as fans of the series, we’re looking forward to it when it drops later today.
