There are a ton of different things you can do in the new low-poly FPS, BattleBit Remastered. From flying helicopters to driving tanks, players have access to a world of possibilities. However, climbing ropes is one of the less cool but often necessary mechanics. If you’re completely lost on how to climb a rope in BattleBit and feel like you’ve got noodles for arms, this guide will walk you through this simple yet confusing BattleBit Remastered mechanic.
How to Climb a Rope in BattleBit Remastered
To climb a rope in the game, look in the direction you want to climb and press the W key. To go down the rope, press the S button. The direction that you go will depend on the direction you’re looking, so if you’re trying to climb a rope to get to a rooftop or get inside a helicopter, look up and press the W key.

To climb a rope from a standing position, jump onto the rope and hit the W key. To repel down the rope from a helicopter, hit the F key, then hit W while looking down or S while looking up. Players can also obtain a Grappling Hook to create ropes to climb impossible-to-reach locations. To unlock it, players will need to reach Rank 22 first and then unlock it from their Gadget slot.
Out of all the mechanics in BattleBit, one would think climbing a rope would be straightforward — and it is if you’re used to old-school games, which this model takes after. This mechanic may feel a bit outdated compared to modern-day shooters, but it works.
