How to Become a Werewolf in Fortnite
To become a Werewolf in Fortnite, head to one of the altars placed across the map, walk up to it, and use the special emote to transform. You’ll then get the Mythic weapon, Howler Claws, which must stay equipped for you to remain a Werewolf.
Altars are placed in major landmarks, and you can find one near the Reality Tree, Chromejam Junction, and many other landmarks across the map.

Fortnite Werewolf Moves
Once you transform into a Werewolf, you unlock a few special abilities, including Slash, Air Slash, and Wolfscent. See below for a breakdown of each ability.
Slash
Slash is the basic bread-and-butter move you acquire when you become a Werewolf in Fortnite. It is a basic-close range melee attack that does damage to enemies.
It can come in handy if you find yourself in close quarters with someone, especially if your opponent has a bad aim.
Air Slash
Air Slash is one of the more powerful abilities you gain when becoming a Werewolf in Fortnite. To do this, press jump two times, and you’ll do a forward dash and attack at the end.
This move is great for closing the distance on someone or avoiding the incoming storm. You can actually spam it quite a few times before it drains all your stamina, so you can use it as an alternative for travel if you don’t have a vehicle or rift.
Wolfscent
Wolfscent is the most powerful aspect of becoming a Werewolf in Fortnite and is probably why Howler Claws is a Mythic weapon. To use Wolfscent, switch to Howler Claws and use your secondary attack button. Your character will howl for 1-2 seconds; then you’ll be able to sense enemies through walls.
A purple indicator will appear wherever an enemy is, letting you know that an enemy is near, even through obstructions. This is a great ability for routing out campers or clutching a game when it gets down to a final 4 situation but you don’t know where the enemy is.
