SRG Studios just announced the upcoming release of Champion Shift, a co-op action roguelike game set in a world of magical futurism. Players will assume the roles of mythical legends with the unique ability to transform into a variety of different vehicles. This guide will cover everything you need to know about the upcoming title.

Champion Shift Trailer

The newly-released trailer for Champion Shift shows off our aforementioned hero, Wukong, as he transforms into a slick sports car to take out enemy mobs. With a pretty cool cell-shaded aesthetic, we’re interested to see what other heroes will get featured soon.

Champion Shift Gameplay

In Champion Shift, players will face The Dominion, a shadow corporation bent on world domination. Ancient artifacts have given the corporation the power to summon and capture legendary Champions of myth in an attempt to harness their powers.

Each champion has its own set of skills and abilities that can be used to decimate foes. Champions can also shift forms between Vehicle and Champion, each with its own playstyles, strengths, and weaknesses. The game features hundreds of abilities and boons, allowing players to construct their perfect run.

Players can unlock globally iconic legendary champions, such as Sun Wukong, Athena, Gilgamesh, and many more. The game features simple controls with default auto attacks and the option to aim manually.

How Many Players Can Play Champion Shift?

Champion Shift can be played solo or in co-op mode with up to four players. If the Dominion poses too much of a challenge, or if reaching the final boss seems too easy, players can tweak the difficulty of their runs to craft the perfect challenge.

Champion Shift is slated to release later this year. The game is now available to wishlist on Steam.
