If you’ve seen gameplay footage for Starship Troopers: Extermination and wanted to try it, you may wonder whether there’s a planned console release.
If you’ve always wanted to squish hordes of bugs in the Starship Troopers Universe, the new game Starship Troopers: Extermination lets you do just that. The game just released today, May 17, 2023, into early access on Steam, and we got to try it out for ourselves on PC. However, not everyone has a powerful rig — and if you own a console, you may wonder whether there are any plans to bring Starship Troopers: Extermination to Xbox or PlayStation consoles.
Is Starship Troopers: Extermination Coming to Xbox or PlayStation Consoles?
According to the game developers, Offworld Industries, Starship Troopers Extermination does not currently have plans to launch on Xbox or PlayStation consoles. However, in the future, that may change. Instead, the team will focus on releasing the game to PC first. According to the devs:
Right now the Starship Troopers: Extermination team is focused on the game’s Early Access launch on Steam. While we’re aware of the demand for a console release, our current goal is to release on PC first. However, not even the Ministry of Paranormal Warfare knows what the future holds!
Players can enter early access on PC via the game’s Steam page.
