League of Legends Introduces New Support Champion Milio

The adorable Milio makes his debut in Season 13 of League of Legends.

Riot Games announced a new enchanter support champion, Milio, is coming to League of Legends in Season 13. Milio, a 12-year-old citizen of Ixtal, possesses the ability to control the fire axiom. Milio’s fire spells are less aggressive than one might assume, as his kit is designed to heal and empower his allies.

Riot Games designer Myles Salholm explains the process behind creating a new enchanter for the League of Legends roster. “The goal was to make an enchanter that felt like they fit in with the rest of the enchanter roster and didn’t stick out like a sore thumb. But still someone who brought something new to the role so enchanter players would have a new and interesting gameplay experience.”

Milio’s abilities can heal allies and boost their movement speed, outgoing damage, and attack range. He can also damage and slow enemies with the Ultra Mega Fire Kick and remove CC effects from allies in range. The enchanter will prove to be an interesting addition to the roster, and only time will tell how he will change the meta.

League of Legends Milio Abilities

These are Milio’s abilities in League of Legends:

  • Fired Up! (Passive): Enchants allies on touch, making their next damage deal a burst of extra damage and burn the target.
  • Ultra Mega Fire Kick (Q): Milio kicks a ball that knocks back an enemy. The ball launches upward on hit and falls toward the enemy, damaging and slowing enemies in the area upon impact.
  • Cozy Campfire (W): Milio creates an empowering zone that heals allies and increases attack range to those inside. The zone follows the ally nearest to the cast point and can be re-casted.
  • Warm Hugs (E): Milio tosses a shield to an ally, temporarily increasing their movement speed.
  • Breath of Life (R): Milio unleashes a wave of soothing flames that heal and remove crowd control effects from allies in range.

Riot Games has not yet announced a release date for Milio, but we do know we’ll be seeing the new champion in Season 13 of League of Legends.
