Roblox was first created by David Baszucki and Erik Cassel back in 2004 under the name DynaBlocks. They then changed the company name to Roblox in 2005, and it officially launched a year later in 2006. The old DynaBlocks site showed a mockup of what many believe to be the first Roblox game, called John’s Puzzle Game.
The company went on to launch its game engine known as Roblox Studio, a place where people could create games and experiences. Roblox Studio still exists today, and it’s more popular than ever. There are now over 40 million user-created games on Roblox, some of which bring in more concurrent players than large AAA titles from prestigious game studios.
We have a list of the 13 oldest Roblox games that people still play today. Because there are so many games on the platform, we limited the list to games with at least 1,000 players. So, there may be games older than this, but these are still being played today.

With over 4 billion visits, this is one of the all-time most popular games on the platform. The objective of this experience is to work as a team to fulfill food orders. Earn money from the job, and use it to upgrade your house and buy new furniture. It’s a great game to play with friends and meet new people.
2. Natural Disaster Survival
Creation date: March 28, 2008
Natural Disaster Survival is a survival game experience created by Stickmasterluke. The game reached a 2 billion visit milestone in June 2022 and maintains a concurrent player count of around 5,000 users at any given time. In this game, players spawn on a random island and must prepare for a random natural disaster that isn’t revealed until the round starts. If a player survives, they’re sent back to the tower, and their name is displayed on the survivor list.
3. TPS: Ultimate Soccer
Creation date: November 22, 2008
TPS: Ultimate Soccer is a football (or soccer, for Americans) simulation game created by TAYFUN7. It maintains an average of around 1,000 concurrent players at any given time and has a total of 80 million visits at the time of writing. The game features eight-player servers for a four-versus-four soccer experience. Players get points for scoring goals and can rank up to earn badges and climb the leaderboard. TPS: Ultimate Soccer is one of the first sports games introduced on Roblox and undoubtedly one of the most successful.
4. Lumber Tycoon 2

Lumber Tycoon 2 is an experience created by Defaultio. It’s approaching a one billion visit milestone and currently has around 3,000 concurrent players at most times of the day. In this game, players find themselves in Lumberland. The goal is to chop down the surrounding trees and use the wood to build or sell it to buy furniture and accessories.
5. Pilot Training Flight Simulator
Creation date: January 4, 2010
Pilot Training Flight Simulator, or PTFS, is an experience created by Orange12345 for the Roblox platform. It’s Favorited by over a million users and currently has just over 185 million visits. The game is a free-roam flight simulator, one of the first on Roblox, where players can fly various real-life-inspired aircraft like the SR-71 Blackbird and Airbus A380. It’s a free-roam game with no objective, so it’s about casually exploring the massive map and having fun.
6. Mega Marble Run Pit
Creation date: August 6, 2010
Mega Marble Run Pit is a game developed by SeanMichaell, and is a remake of the previously abandoned Mega Marble Run Canyon. The goal is to maneuver through various courses as a marble to get Credits. Enter a teleporter to get to one of 11 courses, and complete it to get anywhere from two to eight Credits, which can be spent on items at the in-game Shop. According to the developer, it’s still a work in progress and has not been fully released. Despite that, it is still one of the oldest Roblox games people still play, with over 200 million visits and around 1,000 active players at any time.

Theme Park Tycoon 2 is an experience created by Den_S for Roblox. Players are thrown into their own plots of land where they can build a theme park alone or with friends. Create a huge selection of rides and roller coasters, and choose from hundreds of different scenery pieces and decorations to customize the park and make it truly unique. The game has had nearly one billion visits since it was created in 2012 and has a very active user base with over 5,000 players at any given time.

High School Life is a role-playing game developed by BYTE00 for Roblox. The game takes place on a small island where players can attend school, customize their appearance and outfits, and own a house. As a roleplaying game, it’s mainly a social hangout experience. Players can buy items with coins, customize the look and feel of their house, and buy and customize pet Meeps.
