Figuring out those pesky computer passwords in Shadows of Doubt is tricky, but we found a way to figure it out — most of the time.
Computers are super useful in the new pixel detective thriller, Shadows of Doubt. With them, you’ll be able to delete surveillance footage and gather important clues required to solve your case. Unfortunately, usually, these clues are locked behind a numeric password. Here’s how to get computer passwords in Shadows of Doubt.
How to Get Computer Passwords in Shadows of Doubt
To crack the code and get computer passwords, players should look for notes around the vicinity of the computer. Usually, these will either have the actual password written on them or provide a clue that the player can use to solve the password.
Sometimes, these clues will be very easy, such as counting down from 5. Other times, however, the clue may be information about the user, such as their date of birth. If this is the case, that information can usually be found within the character’s employee record at their place of employment.
You may have to get a Guest Pass or use lockpicks to access restricted areas to access that information. Once you crack the code, you can bring up the clue and select the password instead of typing it in manually.
In rare cases, passwords may be found in other locations, like other areas in the user’s apartment. The important bit here is that you pin all useful notes that you find so you can refer to the clues later.
Ultimately, computers will give you access to employee records, emails, surveillance footage, and a host of other important clues that you can use to crack the case and get paid for your investigation.
