Low on lockpicks and can’t seem to find any more? Here’s where you can discover lockpicks in Shadows of Doubt.
If you want to maneuver around in Shadows of Doubt and go places you’re not supposed to go, you’ll need a decent supply of lockpicks. If you’ve played through the game’s tutorial section, you should start with 30 — but that won’t last you long. Here’s where you can find more in the game.
Where to Find Lockpicks in Shadows of Doubt
In Shadows of Doubt, players can find lockpicks by picking up Paperclips and Hairpins at stores in the game world. Places like the market and laundromats have a lot of lockpicks. Unlike other items, players can loot lockpicks without raising suspicion from NPCs.
Make sure to keep an eye out for them when you are looking through people’s apartments as well. If you can’t find enough lockpicks for what you need to do, purchase a Guest Pass from one of the workers so you can gain access to the employee-only locations.
How to Use Lockpicks in Shadow of Doubt
To use a lockpick in Shadows of Doubt, focus on the lock for the door you want to open, then right-click (X/Square on the controller) on the lock to unlock it using your lockpicks. Certain locks will be harder than others and will require more lockpicks to unlock.
In the game, lockpicks will be displayed on your case board in the top left corner of the screen.
If you unlock a door to a specific room — often, you can find a key to that room so that you don’t have to waste more of your lockpicks in the future.
