Hey there Prospectors. The newest patch update for The Cycle Frontier includes enhancements to the game’s anti-cheat software. Some of these changes are also tweaks that will prepare the game for the larger 1.4.0 patch. Here are The Cycle Frontier Patch Notes for Patch 1.3.10.
Cheaters have been a big problem in The Cycle Frontier, as it is a free-to-play game and hackers can just go through a VPN and get another account quickly and for free. However, the developers have been adamant that fixing the cheating problem is one of their main priorities and have addressed this in a recent YouTube developer post. The Cycle Frontier utilizes BattlEye anti-cheat, but have also have internal anti-cheat procedures that catch the cheaters.
We’re hoping that this patch, albeit small, will lay the foundations that the development team needs to improving the speed in which hackers are caught and banned from the servers. If wide-spread hacking continues to hurt new players’ gaming experience, the community won’t be large enough to sustain continued development on the game.
