Atomic Heart: Everything We Know About the Sci-Fi FPS

Atomic Heart, the highly-anticipated first-person shooter set in a dystopian future and currently under development by Mundfish, is scheduled to release on February 20, 2023.

Originally announced back in 2018, Atomic Heart has an official release date of February 20, 2023. If you don’t know anything about it, Atomic Heart is a single-player action-adventure RPG set in the alternate 1950s, less than a decade after the events of WWII.

In this alternate reality, the former Soviet Union developed sentient androids, which completely changed society as we know it. In addition to the robotic creations, such technology has also had the unplanned effect of creating mutated creatures set on destruction, and consumption, at any cost.

Players will have to traverse and explore a fully-realized world and face off against malfunctioning androids and crazed mutated monsters that roam the game world.

While we’ve been unable to verify any claims of a connection between Mundfish and the Russian government, tensions over the Ukrainian-Russian conflict are driving some of the scrutiny on the company and the game’s release.
