Warner Bros. Games and DC have just dropped a bombshell for Batman fans and gamers alike: the Batman: Arkham Trilogy is swooping onto the Nintendo Switch.
This marks the first time the critically acclaimed Batman: Arkham series, which includes Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight, will be available on the Nintendo platform. The trilogy, complete with all previously released DLCs, is slated for a Fall 2023 release, with the adaptation being led by Turn Me Up Games.
The Batman: Arkham Trilogy, which began with Batman: Arkham Asylum in 2009, takes players on a dark and atmospheric journey into the infamous Arkham Asylum. As Batman, players navigate through the shadows, instilling fear in Gotham City’s most notorious villains, including The Joker, Harley Quinn, Bane, Killer Croc, Poison Ivy, and Scarecrow.
The sequel, Batman: Arkham City, expanded the universe in 2011, taking players on a thrilling flight through the sprawling Arkham City, a maximum security “home” for all of Gotham City’s thugs, gangsters, and criminal masterminds. The game allows players to experience what it feels like to be The Dark Knight and deliver justice. Watch the announcement trailer for the game below:
The trilogy concluded with Batman: Arkham Knight in 2015, raising the stakes for The Dark Knight. In this epic conclusion, the fate of Gotham City hangs in the balance as Scarecrow is joined by the Arkham Knight, making his villainous debut in DC’s Batman Universe, as well as a roster of notorious DC Super-Villains. The game culminates in the ultimate showdown in Gotham City and introduces players to the complete Batman experience with the fully drivable Batmobile.
