Iono is an exciting new gym leader featured in the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet. Featured in a recent trailer, the special partner Pokemon for Iono was announced. This Pokemon is called Bellibolt and is sure to be a fan favorite! Here’s what we know about the new Bellibolt Pokemon.
What is the New Bellibolt Pokemon?
The new Bellibolt Pokemon is an Electric-type, and it looks like a large frog with a golden gemstone where its belly button should be. According to the official Pokemon Scarlet and Violet website update, Bellibolt uses this special organ to charge up and generate electricity which it can use to battle its foes. It releases its electrical energy by firing lightning bolts from two bumps on its head resembling eyeballs.
Who is Iono?
In the upcoming Pokemon Scarlet and Violet games, Iono is a Pokemon Gym leader who loves using highly charged and powered-up Electric-type Pokemon. As an influential streamer, she loves to record the moment and share it with her fans. She even streams all of the Pokemon battles she’s in inside her gym. Because of this, players who face off against this Supercharged Streamer at her gym in Levincia will have all eyes on them.
When Does Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Release?
The upcoming Nintendo Switch exclusive Pokemon Scarlet and Pokemon Violet are due to be released next month, on November 18, 2022. Until the release day, fans will only be able to speculate the true power – and cuteness – of Iono’s Bellibolt.
