McFarlane Toys announced a licensing agreement with Blizzard Entertainment to develop a range of collectibles for Diablo, World of Warcraft, and the upcoming Warcraft Arclight Rumble universes.
If you’re the type to still have the original Starcraft game discs stored somewhere safe in your closet, you’ll probably be happy to hear that actual collectible toys will be hitting online stores soon via reputable toy creator McFarlane Toys. Today it was announced that the toy maker signed a licensing agreement with Blizzard to create a line of collectible figurines across various IPs, expected to drop sometime in the fall of 2023.
Todd McFarlane, co-founder of Image Comics and founder of McFarlane Toys said:
What I try and do within the walls of McFarlane is to find big brands that look super-cool. It’s a fairly simple formula that can be very hard to find, but the talented creators over at Blizzard have been making and designing tons of fun, detailed and visually stunning worlds across their games for decades.
He goes on to state:
Our goal is to deliver figures to fans of Diablo and Warcraft games that will add value to their enjoyment of playing in those worlds, because when you aren’t playing the games you will be able to look at them on your shelf in 3D form.
McFarlane Toys is responsible for a veritable treasure trove of popular IP tie-ins, including the DC Universe, Mortal Kombat, Warhammer 40,000, and Demon Slayer. Check out the McFarlane Toys website to see what figurines they’ve already made.
