Fans of the series Breaking Bad may have never gotten an official video game on PC or consoles to complement the series. However, a Redditor named u/westonfahey79 posted a brief video to the r/gaming subreddit showcasing the “Breaking Bad PlayStation Game” they created.
When fans view the short video on Reddit, which is also available in a full version on YouTube, they are treated to a very PS1-esque version of the Breaking Bad Universe. The video features horrible graphics, a lot of polygons, and some pretty funny physics–all in line with PS1 games at the time.

Why Was There Never a Major PC or Console Breaking Bad Game?
Of course, when seeing this video, some may wonder why a Breaking Bad game never came to fruition, not counting the 2019 mobile game, Breaking Bad Criminal Elements. None, of course, wonder more so than Breaking Bad creator Vince Gilligan. On a recent podcast, Inside the Gilliverse, the creator and writer lamented that he could never give the series the official game he always wanted to.
According to Gilligan,
“I remember saying to the guys—[who are] off running Apple now…who said yes originally to Breaking Bad — ‘Who owns Grand Theft Auto? Can’t you have a module, can’t there be a Breaking Bad [add-on]?’ Still makes sense to me!”
While fans may have never gotten the Grand Theft Auto video game set in the Breaking Bad Universe, they can still take solace in the fact that this PS1-inspired spin-off video exists, showing them exactly what they are missing out on. Perhaps one day, players can get their hands on a playable version of this unofficial PlayStation Breaking Bad game.
