Bulwark Falconeer Chronicles, an Innovative New City-Builder

Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles is an upcoming city-building game that is getting a demo at the forthcoming Steam Next Fest.

If you’re always looking for the latest and greatest in city builders or city-management sims, then one indie title getting a demo at the Steam Next Fest should pique your interest. Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles is an upcoming title that hasn’t gotten much buzz, but should be — with its innovative city-building mechanics.

The game’s publisher, Wired Productions, recently posted a video featuring Tomas Sala, the game’s creator. The video walks viewers through construction in an open-build mode. Watch it below:

Unlike other city-builders and town-management sims, in Bulwark, players will procedurally generate different areas, buildings, and constructions like bridges with a click of a button. Contrary to other games in the genre, where you have a UI with buildings and constructions available, in Bulwark, everything is based on elevation, depth, and height.

In addition to these gameplay mechanic innovations, the game also looks pretty gorgeous. Players will build and control their settlements through a flying machine/air balloon, and the aesthetic is unique.

Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles, along with a host of other indie gems, will be featured on the upcoming Steam Next Fest that occurs from June 19-26, 2023. While an official release date has not been set, the game’s creator Tomas Sala aims to release the game sometime in 2024.

There is currently a demo available for the game on the official Bulwark: Falconeer Chronicles Steam page.
