Alone in the Dark is an upcoming survival horror game from THQ Nordic.
If you’re anything like me, you’re a big fan of Jeremy Harbour of Stranger Things and Black Widow fame. Something special about his delivery and amazing acting range makes him one of my favorite actors out there, which is why I was pretty excited when I heard he’d be starring in a reboot of the classic horror franchise, Alone in the Dark.
In the game, Harbour will be playing Edward Carnby, a gritty 1920s private investigator navigating dark and dingy atmospheric spaces and corridors while solving puzzles and trying to unravel the mystery behind the game’s story. In addition to Jeremy Harbour, Jodie Comer (The Last Duel, Killing Eve) will be playing Emily Hartwood.
The spotlight for Alone in the Dark gives us serious L.A. Noire vibes while showing us a glimpse of the thought process of the creators behind the game.
Alone in the Dark Demo
Alone in the Dark currently has a free stand-alone prologue that players can get on the Steam Store. In the demo, players will assume the role of Grace Saunders, an 11-year-old girl, tasked with delivering a note to Emily.
For fans of Harbour, the old Alone in the Dark series, or just horror survival games in general, the title may be a gem amongst a crowded field of horror titles being released in the near future, like Alan Wake 2.
Alone in the Dark is set to release on October 25, 2023. The game will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox X|S.
