The newest Dead by Daylight addition, Albert Wesker or “The Mastermind” is a big hit, and for a good reason. He follows the newer Behaviour design style of giving the Killer more ways to interact with the Survivors they hunt. This makes him strong but also more complex. The best DbD builds for Albert Wesker or “The Mastermind” concentrate on stealth, map awareness, and map control to compensate for his larger Terror radius.
The Dead by Daylight (DbD) Albert Wesker “The Mastermind” best builds include:
- Ambusher
- Broadcast
- Generalist
Ambusher
The Ambusher build concentrates on elements of stealth and superior map awareness.
Here are the Add-ons and Perks in the Ambusher build:
Add-ons:
- Dark Sunglasses (Very Rare)
- Helicopter Stick (Very Rare)
Perks:
- Dark Devotion (From The Plague)
- Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance (From The Artist)
- Lethal Pursuer (From The Nemesis)
- BBQ and Chili (From The Cannibal)
The Add-ons have a simple goal: If they cleanse Ouroboros, Wesker sees their Aura. If they don’t, Wesker’s Terror Radius goes away. Either way, it’s a win-win.
Dark Devotion is a one-two punch when it triggers. Wesker loses his Terror Radius, and it transfers to the Survivor who is the current Obsession, serving as a decoy. Pain Resonance brings consistent Generator Regression.
BBQ and Chili grants info in exchange for Hooks, which Players are already using for Pain Resonance. Lethal Pursuer lets Wesker begin chases right from the start. It also makes Aura Reading stronger. With the combo of info and stealth, Wesker attacks Survivors out of nowhere. Repeatedly.
Broadcast
The Broadcast build concentrates on debuffing Survivors and taking control of the map.

- Leather Gloves (Uncommon)
- Loose Crank (Uncommon)
Offering: Jigsaw Piece/Mary’s Letter/Shattered Glasses (Rare)
Perks:
- Coulrophobia (From The Clown)
- Distressing (Base Perk)
- Infectious Fright (From The Trickster)
- Overwhelming Presence (From The Doctor)
The add-ons give buffs to Wesker’s Virulent Bound. Now it recharges faster and is less clunky around loops. Offerings that force Survivors into smaller maps are helpful too.
Slowdown comes in a different form here: debuffs from the Terror Radius. Survivors in range heal slower, burn items faster, and will be revealed if Wesker gets a Down.
Add in Distressing, and the affected area is huge. Survivors spend extra time avoiding the debuffs or suffering under them. Items are more common since the Bloodweb price cuts; Overwhelming Presence is a fairly safe bet.
Generalist
The Generalist build is a good all-around build and works in many different situations.

Perks:
- Eruption (From The Nemesis)
- Discordance (From The Legion)

Eruption requires kicking Generators to apply its Regression. With Discordance and Floods of Rage, Killers know where to use it, and where to find Survivors. Enduring encourages more aggressive plays at Pallets–simple and effective.
Albert Wester “The Mastermind” Terror Radius
We can’t talk about Wesker without mentioning his Terror Radius. It’s the biggest one in the entire game. Survivors will know Wesker is coming earlier than other Killers.
Unlike some other Killers, Wesker is quiet. Without his Terror Radius broadcasting his presence, he can get the jump on Survivors.
A whole group of perks works off the Terror Radius itself. Most of them were bad picks, thanks to maps being too big–until now. Using one of the builds above will ensure that you’re compensating for this drawback.
