To unlock the Hand Cannon in Dead Space, you’ll need to complete the game on Impossible Mode. After defeating impossible mode, players will unlock the Burnished Suit and the Hand Cannon. Before you can choose Impossible mode, you’ll need to first beat the game on Hard mode.
You can access the Hand Cannon from the “Shop Storage” after starting a New Game+. It’s the weapon that looks like a giant foam number one hand. Select the Hand Cannon and choose the Move to Inventory option, and then navigate to your Inventory to equip it.
The Hand Cannon is what some might consider the ultimate weapon in the game and has made a return from Dead Space 2. Back in 2011, in Dead Space 2, players could unlock the Hand Cannon by completing the game on Hard Core Mode.
