Void Hunters in Destiny 2 are finally getting a long-awaited fix to the exotic Hunter chest piece, Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk. Certain exotics in Destiny 2 have caused serious issues to the game when players use their abilities for unintended effects. This was the case with Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk, which allowed players to use the bonus Class Ability generated from the exotic to cause Titans with Loreley Splendor to become almost unkillable. Bungie quickly disabled the exotic, and Hunters have been eagerly awaiting its return to the Destiny 2 sandbox. Here’s what we know about the Destiny 2 Hunter Exotic Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk fix.
Destiny 2 Hunter Exotic Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk Returning after Being Disabled for a Month
The exploit using Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk was discovered in September. On September 15, 2022, the Bungie Help Twitter page tweeted that “Due to an issue, we have disabled the Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk Hunter Exotic chest armor.”
Understandably, this upset many players who were legitimately using the armor to gain a passive 35% damage buff in PvE and a 15% damage buff in PvP upon exiting Invisibility.
Now, players can get their hands back on the exotic as the Bungie Help page tweeted the latest update: “UPDATE: A fix for the Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk Hunter Exotic has been identified and is scheduled to be shipped out mid-October.”
This is good news for Destiny 2 players, due to the fact that not only will Hunters be receiving this well-received exotic armor back, but the player base can rest easier knowing that Bungie is successfully handling a game-breaking issue to keep the game fair and balanced.
