In the Keeping the Old Traditions sidequest in Diablo IV, players are asked to “Show the ancient statue you keep the traidtions.” If you’re confused, this guide will walk you through it.
In Diablo IV, most quests are pretty straightforward. Go to this location, kill this demon, and collect this item. However, a sidequest has left many players stumped, called Keeping the Old Traditions. This is a sidequest that’s obtained in the Valley of the Strayed in the Dry Steppes and asks the player to “Show the ancient statue you keep the traditions.” This guide will cover how to complete the Keeping the Old Traditions quest in Diablo IV.
Keeping the Old Traditions Guide
Players obtain the Keeping the Old Traditions sidequest by interacting with the Lonely Offering tome in the Valley of the Strayed. To show the ancient statue you keep the old traditions, stand in front of the statue in the quest area and select the Yes emote.
If the Yes emote is not available in your emote wheel, players can select the Customize option and add it to their wheel. To do this, select Yes in the Emotes tab, then select an Empty slot in your emote wheel.
After using the Yes emote, open the Hidden Chest that spawns to complete the mission. Players will receive some elixers, XP, and gold for the quest.
While this may not have been your first thought when asked to keep the old traditions, it works. If you are still having trouble with the quest, watch our video walkthrough below.
