If you’ve been exploring the Fractured Peaks region in Diablo 4, you may have encountered s Discarded Note outside of the Forsaken Quarry dungeon just north of Kyovashad. The crumpled note left on the ground says, “Beacon of warmth in winter’s embrace, patience rewarded by nature’s own grace.” This opens up a side quest called Secret of the Spring. Secret of the Spring is a riddle or puzzle quest located in the center of the Fractured Peaks in Diablo 4. It is started by finding the Discarded Note.
How to Complete Secret of the Spring in Diablo 4
To complete Secret of the Spring, go over to the small spring marked on the map, and use your “Wait” emote. The riddle on the note hints at this with the phrase “patience rewarded by nature’s own grace.”
If you’re not sure how to emote, you can press “E” on PC to pull up the Emote menu, an d then click Customize. You may need to drag your “Wait” emote into a slot, as it seems to be unbound by default. After equipping the emote to a slot, press the Save Changes button.
Then, you can press “E” to open your emotes and do the “Wait” emote in front of the spring. After doing it, you should see a treasure chest pop up. After that, you can open the buried chest to complete the side quest, Secret of the Spring.
