When is Class Change Coming to Diablo Immortal?

Itching to try out different classes in Diablo Immortal? The Class Change feature is coming soon.

One of the best parts of Diablo games for many players is testing different classes. Diablo Immortal has six classes: Barbarian, Crusader, Demon Hunter, Monk, Necromancer, and Wizard. However, something different about Diablo Immortal is the time, and sometimes money invested into a character. For many, doing it all over again is a big turn-off. That’s why Blizzard came up with the Diablo Immortal Class Change feature. Here’s what you need to know.

Class Change is essentially a way to allow players to get the benefits of having alts without all the hassle. According to Blizzard:

“Class Change gives you the freedom to explore classes that you get from multiple alts, but without any of those downsides. It also allows us to give full rewards to each new character you play, with no expectation you’ll share resources among them.”

When will the Diablo Immortal Class Change feature be released?

According to Blizzard’s first Diablo Immortal content update, the Class Change feature is coming in the next update at the end of July 2022.

Currently, the only way to change your class in Diablo Immortal is to create a new character. That means you need to grind out those levels and experience starting back at level one. It’s a big commitment for the majority of people who play the game.

With the release of Class Change, players can change their existing character’s class, retain all progress and Paragon, and get new class-specific items to equip. You won’t lose anything, including all your old items, stash, Horadric Vessels, and Helliquary.

Players will still need to collect Legendary items specific to the new class. That’s really what Diablo is all about, though. If you test out a new class and feel like it’s not for you, you can activate the Class Change feature again to return to your original class. Some sort of limits will likely be involved in how many times you can use Class Change. Blizzard doesn’t want players changing classes every session.

For now, we know players will be able to change class and experiment with visual customization in Westmarch. More details will be announced in the coming weeks, and the feature may be implemented by the end of July if things go as planned.
