Diablo Immortal Essence Transfer Guide

Certain things may be confusing if you’re just getting into the Diablo universe with Diablo Immortal. Even dedicated players to the franchise may be confused by some new game and item mechanics. Luckily, at Gamer Digest, we’ve got you covered. Here’s what you need to know about Diablo Immortal Essence Transfer. 

What is Diablo Immortal Legendary Essence?

In Diablo Immortal, your gear is probably just as important as the skills you choose for your character. In Diablo Immortal, they make rolling for specific Legendary traits a lot easier with Legendary Essence. 

Essence transfer lets players take a Legendary item’s unique stat boost and apply it to a different Legendary item. This means that Legendaries you’ve acquired on your way to the late game are still helpful if they have an excellent accompanying stat. Like the Salvage mechanic, this makes “trash” items not wholly pointless. You should be saving all the Legendaries you acquire across your journey.

How to Extract Legendary Essence

The first step to applying a Legendary stat to an item is extracting that stat from an existing item. Extracting the essence destroys the item, so make sure you don’t want the actual item, just the stat! Once extracted, you can then transfer the essence to a different item.

1. Speak to Zamina [Essence Transfer] in Westmarch.
2. Click the Essence Transfer button. 
3. Select the Item that you want to extract the stat from. 
   1. The item needs to be in your Inventory to be shown on the list. 
4. Click OK to destroy the item. 
5. You now have the Essence of that item, and can apply it to a different Legendary. 

How to Transfer Legendary Essence

Now that you have the Essence, you can apply it to a new item. We recommend doing this at level 60, when you know exactly what items you want and the stats. It’s not worth doing this before you max your level because it will be a waste of gold. 

1. Click Inherit in the Essence Transfer screen. 
2. Click the Item you want to give the Essence to. 
3. Click the Inherit button. 

Your Legendary item of choice will also have the Legendary stat you want accompanying it! This is a powerful way to create weapon and item combinations that are overpowered or fit the build you’re going for.
