The first major update for Diablo Immortal is right around the corner, and there’s some exciting content coming your way. Forgotten Nightmares rolls out to Diablo Immortal on September 28 and is the largest update to date, featuring a new dungeon, Ancestral Weapons, a new battle pass, three new legendary gems, and more. Below is a look at the Diablo Immortal patch notes for the Forgotten Nightmares update.
Diablo Immortal Patch Notes (Forgotten Nightmares)
The Diablo Immortal patch notes for the Forgotten Nightmares update include:
New Dungeon: Silent Monastery
A new Level 60+ dungeon called Silent Monastery will be available in Mount Zavian. In the new update, players can take on the Ancient Nightmare in its lair as a group of two to four players. See if you have what it takes to survive the demon’s shadow blasts and spikes.
Castle Cyrangar
Castle Cyranger is a new place to call home for your Warband. A significant upgrade from the dinky little camp in Westmarch, Castle Cyrangar improves the Warband experience by introducing two replayable game modes with passive bonuses that you can upgrade as you secure your castle.
Complete a quest to claim Castle Cyrangar for your Warband, and then speak to Valstus in Westmarch’s Rakkis Plaza. There are three main content areas in Castle Cyrangar, including Purging the Depths, Warband Rooms, and Defense of Cyrangar.
- Purge the Depths: purge unwanted demons from your new residence. Cleanse the Remnants to receive unique bonuses for your character.
- Defense of Cyrangar: Defeat waves of incoming demons, and repel the Hellspawn to receive rewards. The experience is available in Standard and Endless mode, with a leaderboard for the latter.
Ancestral Weapons
Players can find Ancestral Weapons in Castle Cyrangar. These weapons can be placed in the Ancestral Tableau in the castle’s heart to harness their power. Each member can place one weapon in the Tableau, so you’ll want to assemble the best weapons for your entire Warband.
On top of the attributes, players can also find Invocation Gear during their journey through the Castle Cyrangar activities. The gear has a chance for an extra Invocation property, which can be equipped in a slot to receive the benefit and trigger the Ancestral Weapon.
Season 5 Battle Pass
Forgotten Nightmares also marks the start of the Season 5 Battle Pass, Scions of the Storm. The Battle Pass begins on September 29 at 3 a.m. server time and features 40 ranks of challenges and rewards.
As always, there are two paid versions on top of the free track:
- Empowered Battle Pass: Grants access to additional Scions of the Storm Weapon cosmetics and the Scions of the Storm armor cosmetic at Rank 40.
- Collector’s Empowered Battle Pass: Grants access to everything from the Empowered Battle Pass, plus the Scions of the Storm Avatar Frame, Portal, and 10 ranks.
Helliquary Raid Boss
Rayek has done it again, and this time, Izilech the Misshapen has been located. Izilech is the leader of the Wrathborne demons and was once defiant to the Lord of Terror days before the Dark Exile. The new boss requires a CR of 6175 and begins on October 2 at 3 a.m. server time.
Take down Izilech the Misshapen to get the Wrathborne Crown, a seal for the top slot of the Helliquary to gain 30 CR, and a 10% movement speed boost in Challenge Rifts.
Limited-Time Events
Scouring the Darkness is a new LTM that begins on September 28. Slayer demons with your Warband or solo to earn a variety of rewards, like the Congratulations Emote.
Also, the Hungering Moon can never be satiated. The event returns again on October 6 at 3 a.m. and ends on October 10 at 3 a.m., server time. Like always, players can complete a slew of tasks to get Moonslivers and then visit the Hermit’s Collection to trade them in for rewards.
Cosmetics
Adventurers also get a new cosmetic set to look forward to, Crowned One Standard Cosmetic Set. The set can be picked up from the in-game shop for 1,000 Eternal Orbs.
