Xbox has officially announced the much-anticipated return of the legendary Fable franchise.
Developed by Playground Games for Xbox Series X|S and PC, Fable promises to take players on a fantastical journey through a land filled with wondrous places and mythical creatures. The announcement was made via an official trailer released during the Xbox Games Showcase 2023. The trailer is age-restricted, so you can watch it on the Xbox YouTube channel.
Although the trailer does not reveal a specific release date, it does provide a glimpse into the enchanting world of Fable. The game is set in the fairy-tale land of Albion, where players are given the freedom to shape their own destiny. The choices you make in this game will not only define your character but also leave a lasting impact on the world around you. Fable will be available on Xbox Game Pass from day one, allowing subscribers to dive into this magical world as soon as it launches.
The Fable series, starting with the first game, began all the way in 2004. The game follows a hero that must make tough decisions, shaping both the story and the character you are playing. Fable was followed up with a popular sequel, then a third game that ended the series with a lukewarm reception from the community.
This much-anticipated reboot is something I’ve personally been looking forward to for some time. Fable is one of those entries that encourages the player to play through the game more than once, and it’s pretty compelling to do so.
