Each year, The Game Awards are hosted by creator Geoff Keighley and celebrate the very best games across platforms for the year. Fans can vote in each category to make their voices heard. The Game Awards just announced their nominees for 2022. God of War Ragnarok, Elden Ring, and Horizon Forbidden West have taken top spots in nominations, with God of War snagging 10 nominations and Elden Ring and Horizon snagging 7 nominations each.
In addition to categories you would expect from a game awards show, like Game of the Year or Best Fighting Game, the Game Awards 2022 also features creative categories like Games for Impact and Innovation in Accessibility.

The 2022 Game Awards will happen on December 8, 2022, at 4:30 p.m. PST / 7:30 p.m. EST. You can watch the official live stream at the Game Awards website.
