Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed supports full cross-platform and crossplay between PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. That means all players across all platforms can party up and play with one another.
Ghostbusters SU is developed and published by independent game studio Illfonic, which is headquartered in Golden, Colorado. Initially founded in 2007, the studio is known for titles like Friday the 13th: The Game, Predator: Hunting Grounds, and, more recently, Arcadegeddon.
As for Ghostbusters SU, the game features asymmetric gameplay. Players take on the role of either a Ghostbuster or a ghost. Players control Ghosts from a third-person perspective, while Ghostbusters are in the first-person point of view.
Ghostbusters must work together to capture the ghost, controlled by another player or an AI, and undo its damage. The ghost’s job is to terrorize the other players by doing paranormal things like moving objects and making noises.
Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed will be available on Game Pass and, for PC players, is an Epic Games Store exclusive at launch.
