As a gacha game, Honkai Star Rail uses a Stamina system that limits how many activities a player can do in a given day. Stamina, called Trailblaze Power in Honkai Star Rail, regenerates slowly over time. Players looking to remain ahead of the curve must decide how to spend it wisely. Here’s a rundown of the most efficient way to use your Trailblaze Power in Honkai Star Rail.

Things to do with Trailblaze Power in Honkai Star Rail
Here are all the activities in Honkai Star Rail that require Trailblaze Power:
- Simulated Universe: 40 Trailblaze Power
- Calyx: 10 Trailblaze Power
- Stagnant Shadow: 30 Trailblaze Power
- Cavern of Corrosion: 40 Trailblaze Power
- Echo of War: 30 Trailblaze Power
Best Ways to Spend Trailblaze Power in Honkai Star Rail
Between Trailblaze Level 1 to 29, the best thing to spend your Trailblaze Power on is Character EXP materials and Light Cone EXP materials in a two-to-one fashion. These materials are obtained from the Calyx (Golden) activities “Bud of Memories” and “Bud of Aether.” Leftover Trailblaze Power should be invested in materials needed to upgrade your characters’ Traces (skills). Cavern of Corrosion is considered a waste of Trailblaze Power early on in the game because the Relics will ultimately become fodder for better gear.
Between Trailblaze Level 30 to 40, players can start obtaining Planar Ornaments from the Simulated Universe and participate in weekly boss battles through the Echoes of War. You will likely find the area you are lacking most is leveling your characters’ Traces. Upgrading Traces requires a lot of resources, many of which you’ll run out of and need to obtain from Calyx (Crimson) activities. Players can synthesize materials from lower-grade materials (1:3), but as a rule of thumb, you can expect to spend around 150 to 170 Trailblaze Power to upgrade Traces from Level 2 to 3. For these ten Levels, your best bet is to focus on ascending characters and upgrading Traces, which will require doing Stagnant Shadow and Calyx.
At Trailblaze Level 40, you will research Equilibrium Level 3. You will be able to acquire 5-star Relics from Cavern of Corrosion and Simulated Universe World 5. It’s an excellent time to begin spending Trailblaze Power to obtain these Relics to gear out your characters. Focus on gearing out and ascending your core team of characters and a second team of characters. Monster weaknesses are important, so having specialized characters like Asta who can assist with buffs can go a long way. You will likely find your Character EXP material reserves are running dry from all the upgrades, so keep tabs and run Calyx as necessary.
How to Get More Trailblaze Power in Honkai Star Rail
Trailblaze Power regenerates naturally over time, up until you reach 180. Players can also use Fuel to generate 60 Trailblaze Power automatically or spend Stellar Jade up to eight times daily to replenish 60.
Players also have the option to bank Trailblaze Power by converting it into Immersifiers. One Immersifier can hold 40 Trailblaze power, and a player can hold 8 Immersifiers (320 Trailblaze Power). Immersifiers can only be used in Simulated Universe to claim rewards.
Because you can only hold a maximum of 180 Trailblaze Power, you should ensure you are never sitting at full Power. When your Trailblaze Power is at 180, you won’t regenerate more, so you are missing out.
At the end of the day, everyone’s mileage may vary depending on whether or not you’re a free-to-play player or someone who doesn’t mind spending some money. Invest your Trailblaze Power into areas you lack based on the above Honkai Star Rail tips.
