Immortals of Aveum is an upcoming singleplayer magic-based FPS title from Ascendant Studios and Electronic Arts.
If you’ve been looking for something a bit different, you should start to get excited for Acendant Studios’ upcoming title, Immortals of Aveum. The game is set in a world ravaged by war, where players take control of the protagonist, Jak, an elite Triarch Magnus of the Order of the Immortals. A mixture between an FPS and magic-based title, Immortals of Aveum is a fresh re-thinking of the typical shooter.
Immortals of Aveum Release Date
Ascendant Studios’ highly-anticipated first-person shooter, Immortals of Aveum, is set to release on July 20, 2023, on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC via EA App, Steam, and the Epic Games Store. The game is a singleplayer game, and crossplay and cross-progression will not be enabled.

The game’s director and CEO, Bret Robbins, has been working on Immortals of Aveum for five years. Robbins said:
“I’m incredibly excited to finally show the world Immortals of Aveum… We set out to create a cinematic, thrilling shooter set in a new fantasy world, with fast and fluid combat and an epic story. I can’t wait for everyone to play it.”
Immortals of Aveum Story & Gameplay
As Jak, you will join the elite battlemages of the Order of the Immortals and fight to end the Everwar, a worldwide conflict between the planet’s largest nations, Lucium and Rasharn. Each faction seeks to control access to magic by any means necessary.
Players must creatively leverage all three forces of magic to be rewarded for chained attacks and well-timed counters. Players can unlock and upgrade more than 25 Spells and 80 Talents and discover, upgrade, and craft hundreds of pieces of magical gear. Synergizing your playstyle across all three forces of magic will allow you to become Aveum’s most powerful Triarch Magnus.
Your basic magic isn’t all you have at your disposal, either. A skilled Magnus can conjure warding shields, hover across the battlefield, and manipulate the environment around them while maintaining their offensive capabilities and combining these techniques to devastating effect.
With the release of Immortals of Aveum, gamers can expect a new twist on the FPS genre that combines the thrill of first-person shooters with the excitement of magic-based combat.
