Tower of Fantasy is a sci-fi-themed, anime-inspired MMORPG developed by Hotta Games Studio and published by Level Infinite. The global version of the game releases this summer on PC and mobile devices and has cultivated an impressive following since its release in China in late 2021. For console gamers who enjoy games like Genshin Impact, they might be wondering if Tower of Fantasy is coming to console. Here’s what we know so far.
Is Tower of Fantasy Coming to Console?
Tower of Fantasy releases on PC, iOS, and Android devices on August 10, 2022. According to the developers, “there is no planned console release as we are working very hard to optimize and perfect mobile + PC clients.”
As per the developer’s FAQ, there are no current plans to bring Tower of Fantasy to Xbox, PlayStation, or Nintendo consoles. However, that is not a definitive answer. The developers will focus on optimizing the game for mobile and PC clients first and foremost.
We assume that if everything launches smoothly on mobile and PC, there is a possibility that the developers will consider bringing the game to consoles. We’ve seen other titles like Genshin Impact roll out to PlayStation 5 a little over six months after releasing on mobile, PC, and PlayStation 4.
Given that it’s a similar title in the same genre, we assume Hotta Studio Games would like to open up the game to as many players as possible, including those on Xbox, PlayStation, and Nintendo Switch.
