Serenity Forge and Dingaling Productions have announced the upcoming release of LISA: Definitive Edition, slated to release on July 18.
LISA: Definitive Edition is a remastered collection will include the RPGs LISA: The Painful and LISA: The Joyful, introducing them to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles for the first time. PC gamers aren’t left out either, with a fresh update and additional content set to launch on July 18, 2023.
LISA: The Painful, originally released in 2014, is a post-apocalyptic role-playing game that has gained a cult following for its dark humor and rich storytelling. The game takes place in a world where all women have been wiped out by a mysterious event known as the “White Flash”. The player follows Brad, a broken man journeying through the barren wasteland of Olathe, making sacrifices and battling unique monsters and enemies to save his adopted daughter, the last girl alive. The Definitive Edition promises to bring new content and nightmares to the game, including:
- HD graphics and pixel-perfect int scaling.
- 120 FPS mode for PC and current-gen consoles.
- Brand-new campfire conversations, allowing you to mourn the deaths of party members even more.
- New enemy and boss fights.
- New quests featuring never before seen battles and dialogue.
- Brand-new stories with multiple endings.
- Updated battle systems introducing new “Warlord Skills,” updated timed attacks and UI overhaul.
- New border art overlays for wide-screen viewing.
- A new music player to listen to your favorite tracks and 20+ new Definitive Edition-exclusive songs.
- Painless (easy) mode for players looking for an easier time.
- Controller features utilizing Nintendo Switch HD Rumble, PlayStation DualSense haptics, light bar, adaptive triggers and DualShock 4/DualSense speaker audio.
- 12 new localized languages.
LISA: Definitive Edition is set to hit Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC on July 18.
