Today marks the start of Steam Next Fest, a multi-day event where gamers can try out new demos, get information about upcoming titles, and watch live streams with developers and publishers. One of today’s feature titles is Loopmancer, the first official launch from eBrain Studio, a group of 21 developers out of Beijing. Loopmancer is a 3D platformer roguelike game where players control a detective who comes back to life in a futuristic cyberpunk city.
When does Loopmancer release?
Loopmancer releases on PC on Wednesday, July 13, 2022. The Loopmancer Steam page is live–fans can check out the game and it to their wishlist to get future updates. It will also be available on the Epic Games Store.
Can I play a Loopmancer demo?
A Loopmancer demo is available on Steam to try out for free. To play the Loopmancer demo:
- Visit the Loopmancer Steam page.
- Tap on the Download button next to “Download Loopmancer Demo.”
- Choose the location for the installation.
- Wait for the game to download and install.
- Launch the Loopmancer demo.
For gamers who already tried out the Loopmancer demo, it’s been updated to include new enemies, skills, and weapons. The demo also fully supports ray-tracing, and players who complete it can receive some bonus freebies. If this game looks promising to you, give it a shot for free by playing through the demo!

Will Loopmancer be available on consoles?
eBrain Studio announced on Twitter that Loopmancer would be coming to consoles. The game will be playable on PC, PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. As for when–the release date looks like it’s only for Steam and the Epic Games Store, so we will need to wait for more information about when we can expect the game to hit consoles.
