Lost Ark to Merge EU West and Central Servers

Smilegate RPG's Lost Ark is set to merge Europe West into Europe Central.

Smilegate RPG’s Lost Ark is preparing for a major region merge this summer in a significant development in the MMORPG landscape. The game’s developers have announced plans to unite Europe West and Europe Central, marking a notable shift in the game’s regional structure.

This decision comes after numerous player requests for region merges. However, it’s worth noting that this is the only merge currently on the table. Despite some interest from South American players for a similar merge with North America, the developers have expressed concerns about potential latency issues that could negatively effect gameplay.

As they move forward with the region merge, the developers are formulating a comprehensive policy, drawing from their experience with previous server merges. They have committed to keeping players informed and will share the finalized plan in due course.

In addition to the region merge, the developers have acknowledged requests from players on lower-population servers for server merges. Following the completion of the August region merge, they will begin assessing servers that may benefit from a merge.

While the region merge represents a significant change, it’s clear that the developers are taking a measured approach to ensure the best possible gaming experience.
