Magic: The Gathering is adding even more game worlds to their already impressive roster in the latest acquisition of Final Fantasy and Assassin’s Creed for The Universes Beyond. While Magic: The Gathering is known for its spell-slinging, fast-paced tactical gameplay, The Universes Beyond lets them expand that universe into different IPs and add their cast of characters and worlds to their own. Here’s what we know about the Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy and Assassins Creed crossover.
Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy and Assassins Creed Cards Release Date
Players can expect the Magic: The Gathering Final Fantasy and Assassins Creed card collaboration in 2024, as announced at Hasbro Investor Day 2022. While it’s unclear exactly what kind of card sets these two famous game series will be brought to the world of Magic: The Gathering, there will be other famous additions to The Universes Beyond as well.
Starting in 2023, fans of the game can expect to see Dr. Who and Lord of the Rings make their appearance. For Final Fantasy and Assassin’s Creed, however, gamers will need to wait until 2024.
Previous Collaborations Have Sold Out Quickly
One thing is for certain, fans of Magic: The Gathering will be lining up to buy these new additions to the game, as they have for previous collaborations, including Street Fighter, Fortnite, and The Walking Dead.
Even though these cards are not generally allowed in standard play, they allow a fun new way to approach the world of Magic: The Gathering. Therefore, players who want to get their hands on these amazing collectibles may want to check out the official Wizards of the Coast website for more information on upcoming release dates.
