Metal: Hellsinger Release Date – Headbanging & Carnage Mix

A metalhead's true dream

If you love the heavy metal of bands like System of a Down and Lamb of God, you should be aware of a new game on the landscape. Metal: Hellsinger is a game releasing later this month that combines fast-paced FPS gaming and melds it perfectly to a head-banging heavy metal soundtrack. Keep reading for the Metal: Hellsinger release date and details.

What is Metal: Hellsinger?

Metal: Hellsinger is a first-person shooter and rhythm game developed by The Outsiders and published by Funcom. In Metal: Hellsinger, you play as the half-demon half-human The Unkown. Your goal? Defeat demonic hellspawn while listening to head-banging music from some of the biggest heavy-metal bands in the world.

Super challenging from the jump, Metal: Hellsinger is a fresh new take on both the FPS and rhythm-game genres. The controls and aiming are smooth and reminiscent of other FPS games like DOOM.

Watch the release date trailer for Metal: Hellsinger below:

We’ve got to be honest; we died quite a few times through our playthrough, trying to coordinate dodging, shooting, and matching the beat. And it’s not like we don’t have experience in FPS games, either–it should be a true challenge even for those with excellent aim.

As metal fans, the entire experience was a blast–hearing some of our favorite musician’s visceral music in our headphones while causing mayhem and carnage in the bowels of Hell.
