New Cycle is an Upcoming Post-Apocalyptic City Builder

New Cycle is an upcoming indie survival city-builder where the goal is to rebuild humanity after a cataclysmic event.

City building and management games are made for a certain type of person. Methodical and analytical in nature, often, the success of a campaign in such games can often hinge on the most minute details. It can be hard to keep track of all the new titles in a genre flooded with recent releases, which is why I’m here to help.

New Cycle, a game developed by Core Engage and published by Daedalic Entertainment, is an upcoming indie city-builder to be featured on the forthcoming Steam Next Fest. In the game, players will transform a shanty camp into a thriving post-apocalyptic metropolis.

A demo for New Cycle is now available on Steam, with a major planned update occurring on June 19 for Steam Next Fest.

In New Cycle, the citizens of the land have been trying to recover after Earth was hit with a massive solar flare that caused the magnetic field to collapse, with ensuing chaos on the planet below.

As is typical with other city-builders and settlement management games, players will construct different buildings, gather resources, and unlock new technology to keep their settlement alive. A variety of destructive, post-apocalyptic events will occur throughout the playthrough, along with season and climate changes and other dynamic challenges to keep players on their toes.
