Scorn is a creepy, atmospheric horror and puzzle game created by Ebb Software. Scorn doesn’t hold your hand and doesn’t have an in-depth tutorial, so figuring out what to do in the beginning can be a serious challenge, especially for puzzle-averse people. One of the first challenges you’ll have to overcome is figuring out how to open the first door in Scorn. Doing this is a multi-step process and isn’t easy. How to Open First Door in Scorn (Puzzle 1)
To open the first door in Scorn, players must go up to the second floor, dislodge the illuminated eggs on the wall, then go downstairs and scoop out the creature you dislodged from its shell. Once scooped, pick up its arm, attach a metal spike to it, and place it into the console on the left side in front of the door. Then, walk to the right console and interact with it, and the door will open.

Part 1: Solving the Egg Puzzle
To solve the egg wall puzzle, use the right console to move the illuminated eggs to the brightly lit egg in the top left corner. Once you do this, go to the center console and control the arm to remove the egg. Move all the dim eggs to the right side of the board. Then, shift the last illuminated egg to the top-left position, go back to the center console, and remove the egg. You will unveil a creature with a shell that will be lowered to the bottom floor.
To find the puzzle, take the elevator up to the second floor and enter the room with the egg wall.
Part 2: Getting the Extra Hand
To get the extra hand that you need to open the door, cart the creature to the scooper tool, then interact with the consoles to scoop it out of its shell. You may have to adjust the tracks for your cart if the track doesn’t go into the right room. See below for a configuration that works.
Part 3: Opening the First Door
Pick up the arm that gets left behind, then put it into the module on the wall to attach spikes to it. Once the hand is spiked, insert the spiked hand into the left console in front of the door, and it will get stuck in the console. Then interact with the right console, and the door will open.
