Outriders is an online third-person looter shooter RPG from Polish studio People Can Fly and Square Enix. The game initially launched in April 2021 and rode a reasonably large wave of success despite its mixed reviews. Players who had Outriders on their radar but never pulled the trigger can finally give it a shot at no cost.
Outriders is free-to-play on Steam from June 20 to June 23, 2022. During this timeframe, players can download and play the complete game free of charge. There’s also a free demo available on Steam if you want to see what it’s all about before committing to getting into the whole game.
The free-to-play period leads up to the launch of the Outriders Worldslayer Upgrade, a new expansion that adds endgame content and the ability to further progress your character through the new PAX hybrid branch class trees. Pax trees are two more skill tree branches per class that add more customization options for more in-depth specialization and hybrid builds.
Worldslayer also brings a new Apocalypse tier system, so players can increase difficulty tiers further and get even better loot drops in both the campaign and endgame. Apocalypse loot includes new full Legendary armor sets with set bonuses and a third mod slot for more killing power than ever before.
For players who got bored of Outriders in 2021, it’s an excellent time to install it again to prepare for Worldslayer. New locations, zones, enemies, and progression await you on June 30.
Outriders is available on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Stadia.
