Pokemon GO’s Sixth Anniversary Event Begins on July 6

Celebrating the sixth anniversary of Pokemon GO.

The sixth anniversary of Pokemon GO is fast approaching. It’s been six years since the launch of the popular mobile Pokemon game in 2016. The Pokemon GO Anniversary event appropriately highlights Pokemon number 6 — Charizard. As always, there are limited-time event-themed Field Research, Raids, and many fun activities for trainers. Pokemon’s official blog says they’ll reveal hidden components of the event after meeting certain Ultra Unlock conditions. Here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming event.

When is the Pokemon GO Anniversary Event?

The Pokemon GO Anniversary Event begins on Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at 10 a.m. and ends on Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 8 p.m. Local Time.

Pokemon GO Anniversary Event Details

There’s much to look forward to on July 6, including Pokemon debuts, wild encounters, new raids, field research, and event-exclusive avatar items and stickers.

Pokemon debuts

Pokemon GO events are a great time to snag limited-time exclusive Pokemon for your collection. Three Pokemon will be making their debut, and it’s the first time trainers can evolve their Party Hat Charmanders. Lucky trainers might even encounter Shiny Party Hat Charmeleon and Shiny Party Hat Charizard.
