The newest set of Pokemon Trading Cards has been revealed, and it looks like fans of the upcoming Scarlet and Violet games are in for a treat! The new set, which is set to release in January 2023, will feature a variety of new cards, each of which is inspired by the Paldea region of the new game. 

As part of the brand-new game, players will be able to take part in open-world exploration in the ninth generation in the Pokemon universe. With the newest release of Pokemon, of course fans are looking forward to finding brand new Pokemon to catch – or to pull in the TCG. Here is everything we know about the upcoming Pokemon Scalet and Violet TCG set.

Representing your favorite starter Pokemon

Every Pokemon fan knows one of the most important things about starting out in a new Pokemon game is choosing a starter. The newest game in the series brings 3 unique starters to the game, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly, and the newest TCG set is inspired by these brand-new Pokemon. With each purchase of the special set, players can choose their starter Pokemon and earn a special promo foil card as well as a pin to represent their chosen starter.

For fans who want to pick up the Paldea collection early next year, they will be able to claim the following goodies inside of each box:

• 3 foil promo cards featuring Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly
• 1 foil oversize card featuring Koraidon ex or Miraidon ex
• 1 of 3 collector’s pin featuring Sprigatito, Fuecoco, or Quaxly
• 4 Pokémon TCG booster packs
• A code card usable in either the Pokémon TCG Online or Pokémon TCG Live

With Pokemon Scarlet and Violet set to release on November 18, 2023, players can be well on their way to completing their Pokedex by the time the TCG collection rolls out. Still, players can use that time to find their favorites from the new series and try to catch them all — in both the TCG and the game when the set releases on January 6, 2023.
