Where to Find Charcadet in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Learn where to find Charcadet in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet so you can catch one early.

Charcadet is the “Fire Child Pokemon,” a Fire-type Pokemon introduced in Generation IX. Depending on whether you’re playing Pokemon Scarlet or Violet, you can evolve Charcadet into Armarouge or Ceruledge. If you want to find one for yourself, we’ve put together a quick walkthrough that shows you where to find your first Charcadet in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Where to Find Charcadet in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Charcadet is found in the southeast region of the Mesagoza (East) Pokemon Center.

To find Charcadet in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, travel to the Pokemon Center Mesagoza (East). Travel through the gate and continue straight past the bridge. Make your way around the right side of the mountain into the small grassy area with a single tree.

Refer to the map below for an exact location if you need help pinpointing it in-game.

The Charcadet in this location should be around Level 13, so you can catch it very early on in your Paldea adventures. As always, once you find the Charcadet, consider saving your game beforehand. You wouldn’t want to knock out the Pokemon without a save point to go back to, just in case.

Charcadet is a Fire-type Pokemon with the chance of knowing Flame Fire, Flash Fire, and Flame Body skills. You can evolve Charcadet into two different items, depending on what version of the game you have:

  • Pokemon Scarlet: Evolve Charcadet into Armarouge using Auspicious Armor (10 Bronzor Fragments)
  • Pokemon Violet: Evolve Charcadet into Ceruledge using Malicious Armor (10 Sinistea Chips)

In Pokemon Scarlet, trade 10 Bronzor Fragments to the gentleman at the central area of the Pokemon Center at Zapapico (East). You will get an Auspicious Armor for bringing him 10 Bronzor Fragments. Use the Auspicious Armor on Charcadet to evolve it into Armarouge. In Pokemon Violet, it’s a similar process, but you need to bring the NPC 10 Sinistea Chips instead.
