Where to Find Wiglett in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Learn where to find Wiglett in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet so you can catch one early.

Pokemon Scarlet and Violet is the first truly open-world Pokemon game, and it introduces some exciting new Pokemon. One of the more interesting ones is Wiglett, which basically looks like a more worm-like version of the popular Generation I Ground-type Pokemon known as Diglett. In this guide, we’ll show you where to find Wiglett in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet and how to catch one for yourself early on in your journey through Paldea.

Where to Find Wiglett in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Wiglett is found on the beaches located on the eastern and western coasts of Paldea in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet.

Wiglett is not exactly the easiest Pokemon to catch, so you’ll want to subtly sneak up behind one and throw a Pokemon at it to start the battle. If you startle Wiglett, it will submerge underground and wiggle away.

You can refer to Wiglett’s PokeDex entry below to see the exact habitat locations.

Where to Find Wiglett in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

Wiglett is a Water-type “Garden Eel Pokemon” that has a chance to know Gooey, Rattled, and Sand Veil skills upon catching one. You can evolve Wiglett into Wugtrio by getting Wiglett to level 26.

As we mentioned, it’s pretty easy to find a Wiglett, and they will generally be around Level 4 when you spot them. That means you can catch one extremely early and start testing out the new Pokemon early on in your journey.

The main thing to pay attention to is how to catch a Wiglett. As we said, they scare easily, so you need to sneak up behind one slowly, and then throw a Pokeball at it.
