As the developer’s first AAA live-service title, Sea of Thieves is arguably the company’s most ambitious undertaking. The documentary sheds some light behind the scenes on the game’s creation and the challenges the team faced throughout the long development process.

The over an hour-long documentary is a studio-created story that explains the mindset behind the creation of Sea of Thieves. Rare set out to create a game where players would create their own experiences and storylines rather than a linear storyline crafted by the developers themselves.
