During your adventures in Slime Rancher 2, you’ll quickly come to realize your inventory space is limited. To start, players only get four Vac Tank slots, which act as your inventory space. However, there’s a way to upgrade this to get more space. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get an extra Vac Tank in Slime Rancher 2 to increase your inventory space.
How to Get an Extra Vac Tank in Slime Rancher 2
To get another Vac Tank in Slime Rancher 2, you’ll need to purchase the Extra Tank upgrade at the Fabricator for 1500 Newbucks, 10 Rock Plort, and 10 Silky Sand. That will give you five total Vac Tanks, but you can purchase another one by discovering the Vac Tank Component in Ember Valley. See below for the location of the Vac Tank Pod.
The Extra Tank adds an extra general-purpose vac tank, allowing you to store another type of item in your inventory. As you can imagine, this makes going out on an adventure much more efficient, as you can bring back another stack of something.
As for where to get these materials, Rock Plort comes from Rock Slimes, which are found in mountainous and cave areas, especially in Ember Valley. Silky Sand, on the other hand, looks just like Deep Brine, except it’s found mostly in the Starlight Strand around the water areas.
