When Does Starship Troopers – Terran Command Come Out?
Starship Troopers – Terran Command drops on June 16 on Steam and Humble Bundle. Originally slated to be released at the end of March, 2022, the game was pushed back so the developers could refine some of the game’s content.
What is Terran Command?
Starship Troopers – Terran Command is an RTS game where you’ll take on legions of bugs on foreign planets. Much like the movie that it’s based on, you’ll be controlling the titular space marines on a journey to stomp out monstrous bugs across barren wastelands.
An early access demo was released at the end of last year but was limited in size and scope. The game employs Company of Heroes-type combat controls across an overhead battlefield. Single-player only, the game has a skirmish and a campaign mode, where you’ll be following along with the extended universe of Starship Troopers. From what is available so far online, the game will take the same tongue-in-cheek approach as the rest of the franchise.

Is the Game Worth Getting?
Since the demo was very limited, we can’t give it a rating just yet. However, the community initially complained about some of the line-of-sight mechanics in the game which made moving units clunky. The developers have had over six months to fix these issues, so we’re optimistic about the state of the game when it drops. It looks great and sounds excellent from the early footage we’ve seen.
