Kim Kaphwan will be arriving in April, while Goenitz will be coming as a free DLC for THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV this summer.
The SNK Corporation just released news of additional DLC characters being added to the game. KOF Season 2 is gearing up to be a big one, with seven new characters already confirmed as additions to their roster, including Shingo Yabuki, Kim Kaphwan, Sylvie Paula Paula, Goenitz, and Najd, as well as 2 unconfirmed fighters. Players gain access to the new DLC characters via the Fighter Pass.
DLC character Kim Kaphwan will be added to the game on April 4, 2023, with his trademark midair specials and jumping attacks. He is a kicking specialist and martial artist.
The long-awaited Goenitz, the boss of THE KING OF FIGHTERS ’96, will make this return this summer, free of charge.
Sylvie Paula Paula will be coming via a paid DLC this summer, so players that want to use her in the fighting game will have to get the Fighter Pass.
Also coming soon is the addition of crossplay support for THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV. This new functionality will enable players on PlayStation, Xbox, or PC to play with each other. While the developers, SNK Corporation, have not officially announced when this will happen, it was featured on the latest SNK News update on Youtube.
